Uganda Fencing Project: Supply of Chain Link Fencing and Fittings
Berming Security Fencing Co. offers extensive experience and innovative technology in the design, production, and installation of customized chain link security fencing solutions. The following is a brief description of our fencing project in Uganda. Please see below for more information regarding our designs and materials.Chain link fencing is a highly durable and versatile option for perimeter security, boundary marking, and enclosure. The system is made up of a variety of components, each serving a specific role in ensuring the fence's strength and stability.
Brace Band and Tension Band
- Brace Band Gauge 12 X 3/4" Pressed Steel Hot-Dipped Galvanized: Used to secure the top rail to the posts, these brace bands help maintain the structure and keep the fence taut.
- Tension Band Gauge 12 X 3/4" Pressed Steel Hot-Dipped Galvanized: These are used to attach the chain link fabric to the posts, ensuring it remains tight and properly aligned.
Post Fittings
- Post Hinges (Male) Pressed Steel Hot-Dipped Galvanized: These are used to connect the posts to the gates and allow for smooth opening and closing of the gate.
- Gate Hinges (Female) Pressed Steel Hot-Dipped Galvanized: Work with the male hinges to form a secure and durable connection between gate posts and the gate itself.
- Rail End (1-Hole Aluminum): These components are used to connect the rails securely to the posts.
Post Caps
- Post Caps Aluminum/Steel Combo: Used to cover the tops of the posts, preventing water from entering and prolonging the life of the posts.
- Post Caps Steel: Another variation of post caps made from steel for added durability.
- Loop Caps Ball Top Aluminum: These caps fit on top of posts to provide a decorative finish while also protecting the posts from moisture.
Tension Bars and Fittings
- Tension Bars (1/8"x1 5/8") Pressed Steel Hot-Dipped Galvanized: These bars help to secure the chain link fabric at the post and maintain the integrity of the fence.
- Fork Latch Assembly with Bolts: Essential for securing gates, this assembly includes a fork latch and bolts for easy installation and secure closure of gates.
Gate Hardware
- Gate Hardware Sets for Walk Gates (1 7/8"x 1 3/8", 1 7/8"x 2 3/8") Hot-Dipped Galvanized: These hardware sets are designed to provide a complete solution for installing walk gates, ensuring ease of use and durability.
Chain Link Mesh
- Chain Link Single Walk Fence Gate (Various Sizes): The mesh is available in various sizes, such as 4', 5', and 6' heights, with a 9-gauge x 2" mesh that provides durability and security. The mesh can be used in both walk gates and larger drive gates, depending on the requirements.

Top Rail
- 17 Gauge Top Rail Swedge End: This is the top horizontal component of the chain link fence, providing structural stability and supporting the chain link fabric.
- 17 Gauge Line Post: These posts are used to support the top rail and hold the fabric taut.
- 17 Gauge Terminal Post: These posts are used at the ends of the fence or for corner posts, offering additional support where the fence changes direction or ends.
Tension Bars
- Tension Bars (3/16"x 3/4" x 82"): These long bars are used to secure the chain link fabric at intervals, ensuring the fence remains tight and aligned.
Adjustable Wood Adapter
- Adjustable Wood Adapter Hot-Dipped Galvanized: This component allows the chain link system to be adapted to wood posts, enabling versatility in installations.
Corner Wood Adapter
- Corner Wood Adapter Hot-Dipped Galvanized: Similar to the wood adapter, this piece is used to connect chain link fences at corners, providing a strong and secure corner connection.
Carriage Bolts
- Carriage Bolts (Various Sizes): These bolts are used to fasten the fittings and components of the fence. Sizes include 5/16"x1 1/2", 5/16"x 2", and 3/16"x2 1/4". Carriage bolts are made from galvanized steel for durability and corrosion resistance.
Drive Gate Latches
- Drive Gate Latches Hot-Dipped Galvanized (1 3/8"x36" and 1 3/8"x42"): These latches are used for securing larger drive gates, providing a safe and secure closure.
Additional Fittings
- Sleeves Regular Pressed Steel Hot-Dipped Galvanized: Used for reinforcing the posts, these sleeves help to ensure that the fence remains stable over time.
- Carriage Bolts Hot-Dipped Galvanized: These are essential for securing various parts of the fence and ensuring they stay tight and durable.
- Universal Gate Corner: This fitting is used for the corner of gates, ensuring the gate operates properly and aligns with the fence.
